London Underground Song (Parental Advisory)

Sunday, April 15th, 2007

Heard this for the first time this weekend and had a really good laugh. If you have ever been on the London Underground in the past I’m sure this will ring a chord (especially if you travel on it regularly). Check out the song and the video here (warning this contains swearing so not for kids).

Billie makes it to No. 17

Monday, January 22nd, 2007

At the very end of last year I posted about the New music charts for 2007 which include ANY song downloaded that week and not just the ones the record companies want to be included. Chris Moyles, the Radio 1 DJ tested this out last week by getting listeners to download back catalogue songs to see if they could enter the chart. His choice, Billie Piper’s old hit Honey to the Bee made it to No. 17!

Basement Jaxx - The Singles

Monday, July 17th, 2006

For the first time in ages I actually bought a CD in a high street shop! At only £6 I felt the album, Basement Jaxx - The Singles was a real bargain. Basement Jaxx have a real talent for making incredibly catchy tunes that lots of people would recognise without knowing the name of the track, or who it was by. For example, Where’s Your Head At? is used to promote CBBC programs, Bingo Bango has been used in countless TV adverts, and the really catchy Do Your Thing was used on one of ITVs big promo campaigns. Add to this more well know Basement Jaxx tracks such Jump ‘n’ Shout, Red Alert and Rendez-Vu and you have a great album, definitely worth a listen!

Music from BMW 1 Series Advert

Tuesday, June 27th, 2006

Just listening to The Prodigy Their Law (The Singles 1990-2005) album and realised that the track Under My Wheels is the tune to the BMW 1 Series advert that I really like. Cool!
