Southern Electric - 6 letters in 1 day!
Yesterday in the post I received what looked like 6 identical letters. As I opened them one by one I realised they were from Southern Electric, my current electricity and gas supplier. The first was to tell me about a payment I had made on my electricity account, the second the same letter but relating to gas, the third to tell me about the direct debit I’d set up for electricity, the fourth the same letter but about gas, the fifth was to tell me I’d signed up for online billing for electrcity, the sixth (you guessed it) the same letter but for gas! Why don’t they just store up all the transactions I make with them in a single day and then send me a single envelope with a smaller number of pieces of paper in it? It would be more cost effective for them, and more environmentally friendly. I plan to email them with my idea. I’m pleased I have already switched my electricity supplier to Ecotricity.
